Joyce has a brilliant one to one set up. Her communication and professionalism is excellent. The sessions are well planned each week and clear , realistic targets are set. Homework is varied with worksheets and videos to watch which suits my son’s style of learning. We are so delighted to have found her!

Joyce is friendly, supportive and patience. She is also very responsive to any questions we have in between sessions. I would recommend Joyce to teenagers for science especially if it's not their passion!

Joyce was great with Christopher and really helped him up his game for his GCSE Maths, English and Combined Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics). We had the first couple of sessions face to face then the rest by zoom; Joyce's no-nonsense approach soon got him organized and he got into a rythm with the follow-up study in between sessions.

Joyce has helped with A-Level Maths through weekly face to face and remote sessions.

She explains things well and has helped many key topics to "click".

Thank you Joyce for all your help and support. Isabels confidence has increased along with her attitude towards maths problems. It is no longer a scary subject for her.

Joyce has come up with a pragmatic, innovative approach to address the key weaknesses in my son's English. This has yielded a visible improvement, substantiated by encouraging exam results.

Joyce has been helping our dyslexic 10 yr old since November 19 and already we have seen great improvements in his reading, spelling and general confidence with regards to learning. She handles his concentration issues with ease and he greatly enjoys his weekly hour with her.

My son only had a few sessions with Joyce (we only stopped due to the social distancing rules surrounding Coronavirus and the cancellation on exams). However, from the beginning my son’s motivation and confidence improved. He came away from the first lesson with a practical revision technique and was motivated to apply this once he came home. He said that Joyce was nice to work with, it didn’t feel awkward and that the sessions were definitely helpful. Had things been different, we would have continued the sessions and I think his grade would have improved as a result. Thank you

Joyce has been fantastic with my Son - she predominantly focused on English, she made the sessions really interesting catching my Son's engagement and immediately picked up on what teaching and learning style was needed to suit his needs. Joyce was very adaptable on session times and really tried to accommodate changes and extra sessions. I would not hesitate to recommend Joyce for anyone that is looking for a great tutor - someone as good as Joyce is hard to find.

Joyce is an excellent tutor. From the start she recognised how my daughter studies best. My daughters understanding/confidence in maths has grown considerably “Joyce explains things clearly so it’s easier to understand”. Highly recommend.

Joyce is so welcoming and friendly. My daughter's GCSE grade increased from what she was predicted following several months of tutoring with Joyce. She adapts work to suit her pupil and is really encouraging. I would highly recommend Joyce.

Joyce was the perfect choice for helping my daughter reach her true potential in Maths, despite the challenges of the additional content within the new grading system. With real focus, clear communication, patience, encouragement and follow through, my daughter made fabulous progress with Joyce. Without her support, my daughter would not have achieved a grade 7 in GCSE Maths this year. We cannot thank Joyce enough. She certainly gave my daughter the gift of knowledge and confidence that schooling could not. achieve.

Joyce was a great help getting my daughter back on track for her English Language GCSE. She identified areas that needed attention, and provided the appropriate course books and learning skills. This gave her confidence and a good foundation on which to continue her studies. Joyce is clearly very experienced at helping students through the exam process and making them feel comfortable. Highly recommended.

Joyce was excellent and very patient in teaching IGCSE Maths revision in time for the Summer 2015 exams. She is very thorough in her preparation and was able to assist in doing exam questions and help my son learn best techniques ready for the exam. We are extremely happy with Joyce's tuition. After only a few sessions we have seen a big improvement in our son's confidence and ability. He looks forward to his lessons which is a credit to Joyce's care and attention. Joyce shows flexibility adapting lessons to fit in with what my son has found difficult at school that week.
