I thoroughly enjoy helping students achieve their full potential and believe that education offers endless opportunities. I am a qualified Maths teacher and owner of a GCSE Maths & Science revision website. My academic background includes graduating with a first-class honours degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham. I am driven by the enthusiasm to inspire and guide students towards achieving academic excellence.
I have been tutoring for the last 7 years during which I have guided students to not only meet but exceed their academic goals. I have an up to date knowledge of all of the specifications for the subjects that I tutor meaning that my tutees are fully prepared for their exams. I have extensive experience tutoring both in person and online (on Zoom or Google Meet); I am currently tutoring both in person and online.
In my tutoring sessions, I foster a welcoming and supportive environment where my students feel at ease asking any question. I tailor my teaching approach by presenting topics in a variety of ways, choosing the method that best suits each student's learning style. This approach ensures full understanding, enabling students to tackle any related exam questions. My strategy focuses on increasing confidence by starting with foundational concepts, gradually progressing to more complex ones.
During the first lesson, I will undertake an initial assessment to see which areas the student is struggling with. I will then create a plan to target those areas in future lessons and I will bring many resources that can be used during and after the lessons.
