I am an experienced mathematician (1st Class Masters, University of Nottingham) with a number of years of industry experience.
I am very patient as a tutor and receptive to my tutees needs. I've a wealth of experience of all areas of mathematics (statistics, pure, applied, computational/programming)- and have a true passion for teaching the subject- something I find helps my tutees to engage with the material.

Tutoring Experience

I've been tutoring for over 10 years now! I've worked with a range of abilities and learning styles. From students who just need a little extra boost in their secondary mathematics, right up to helping to prepare students with Masters level courses.

Tutoring Approach

From my experience I find it helpful to review the students aims, current ability and course material- before making an efficient and workable plan in conjunction with the student to achieve their goals.
Generally I start with a topic the student is the a little worried with and give them a list of questions we can work through together- this helps me to identify the weaknesses and understand how their mathematical thinking is flowing- then I will recap anything that they may struggle with in subsequent sessions.

I have a highly flexible schedule and prioritise my students needs when it comes to getting the results they need and deserve.
For this reason I only take a handful of clients at a time- quality rather than quantity is key.
