I am a native Spanish speaker, originally from Madrid, having graduated with a degree in History, majoring in History of Art, in 1998. After a brief spell of working as a Private Tutor and Freelance Art and History Teacher, I worked for three years in American schools as an EAL teacher. I moved to London in 2011.
After four years teaching and assessing groups of children within British schools, I have gained a great deal of experience across all year groups. I am fully qualified to deliver lessons in the UK, having achieved Qualified Teacher Status in 2010.
• Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish, with an international and multicultural approach developed through teaching a range of students in a wide variety of environments including the UK, USA and Spain.
Since September 2014 I have worked as a supply teacher through Career Teachers, an employment agency, where I have undertaken various temporary roles at a range of different schools in London. In my current role as a supply teacher I am required to plan and deliver lessons across the whole primary age range and in all different subjects, including my two specialisms – Spanish and Art.

My approach to the Spanish class will be creative, based on involvement and enjoyment.I have a strong ability to encourage children to achieve their potential by stimulating their enthusiasm for learning. Patience, passion and a positive behaviour approach are some of the strategies that I put in practise when I work with the children.
