I am an open minded person and I am always looking for different approaches to resolve a problem. I have the ability to explain complicated topics in an easy manner so pupils can easily grasp the solution process. I have experience supporting students of different capabilities and I make teaching fun in order to motivate and engage students with the session.
I have completed a Teaching Diploma with Warwick University. I have experience teaching Maths and Physics and I am able to assist in teaching other courses such as languages (Spanish). I have a degree in Engineering and I have undertaken an enhanced Mathematics PGCE courses with the Open University.
I lead Maths and Physics sessions using my own initiative leading interesting and engaging sessions where students can not only grasp important information but also feel motivated to learn these subjects that most people find difficult. I am able to use simple examples of everyday life to convince and motivated students about the importance of science courses. I have had good experiences relating simple facts, such as the relationship between distance, time and speed when a car travel on a motorway, or using the old trick use by some of us placing a tea spoon to dissipate the heat of our cup of tea to make it cooler.
I have experience in teaching Maths to students who enjoy the course and I am supportive to students who request additional information and encourage them to progress.
I give extra input to students who feel that they struggle with Maths and enable them to meet the necessary requirements and gain skills needed to take tests confidently. I will always look for different methods to present information to those students who feel they have difficulty solving a problem or understanding solutions.
