Jody

I am a fully qualified teacher who has taught geography at schools in the north west for 5 years. I have spent the last year tutoring a large number of students at GCSE and A Level successfully. I am able to provide additional support to school lessons as well as teach full course content for students needing to review whole topics or courses. I am friendly and patient and quickly get to know my students and how best they work and need help. I am very kind and understanding and my students are able to talk to me with ease. I really enjoy working with young people and helping them to achieve their best.

Tutoring Experience

I have a MSci Geology degree and extensive fieldwork experience. I worked in industry for 2 years as an environmental consultant before moving into teaching. I have experience in both AQA and Edexcel exam specifications. I currently teach to the Edexcel B Geography specification to all years at secondary and A-Level.

Tutoring Approach

I work one to one with students aimed at targeted their weaknesses in order to develop their exam technique. I can also help students with revision tasks which are effective in improving the retrieval of knowledge.
