Information About Jodie - Widnes tutor
This is how 2 referees rated Jodie:
I am a Newly Qualified Teacher, this means that I have very current training in the new national curriculum (2014) and a vast range of recent teaching experiences.
I will be graduating in July 2015 with an Upper Second Class degree (Bachelor of Arts with QTS Primary Teaching with Theology and Religious Studies) with a distinction in teaching practice.
I have always been praised on my excellent relationships with my pupils and I feel that this will be particularly beneficial in a tutoring environment.
As a newly qualified teacher I have recent experience of teaching years 6, 5, 4, and 1. I have worked in a variety of schools around Liverpool, teaching both whole classes and also small intervention groups. I have also provided additional support for year 6 pupils approaching SATS in both small groups and one-to-one.
I am used to planning engaging lessons that promote accelerated progress from my pupils - however I am also able to recognise when a pupil may need additional support with a particular topic.
I make my teaching as fun as possible and always like to start or finish with an educational game - I feel it is important not to give children a negative attitude towards education. However, I make my expectations clear to pupils and will do my utmost to help them achieve, and hopefully succeed their attainment targets.
