Joan is a brilliant chemistry tutor, always friendly and very reliable.
Her lessons are always well planned in advanced and she always provides feedback.
She encourages discussions around the topic to engage and easily recognises the gaps in my sons learning to give extra support in those areas to improve knowledge and to ensure the topic is fully understood.

My daughter has been tutored by Joan for over a year now and her confidence and knowledge have increased massively. Whilst I wasn't too sure about Zoom classes, they worked perfectly well for us. Joan is a very committed and dedicated tutor. She makes sure that I understand the requested topic with lots of practice questions which we go through together step by step. Really like her style of teaching. Even though she teaches me online, Joan is very patient and organized and makes the experience a lot easier and a better working environment. Highly Recommended!

Joan is an extraordinary tutor who is clearly knowledgeable in multiple specifications and beyond. Her clear notes and step by step approach has helped me grasp new topics at a fairly quick pace, supported with a range of examples and methods as to how to remember relevant information. She fully encourages trying lots of exam questions and does end of topic questions with me in lessons to ensure that I understand the main bulk and key concepts of the given content. I particularly struggle at Chemistry, but Joan has nonetheless been encouraging, supportive and particularly patient, helping me gain confidence as well as further clarity. She is flexible with time and her sessions always having my best interest at heart. She shows that Chemistry is a subject with many interlinks, continuously alluding to different topics, but overall creating a much more deeper understanding which enormously helps when grasping the A-Level as a whole. She always clears up any confusion and is dedicated to helping students achieve the best that they can. So long as I persevere, I trust that I am in good and can hopefully achieve an A/A*. I am truly so grateful for Joan and her kindness, and feel lucky to have found such a wonderful tutor.

The style of tuition wasn’t for me, and some of the things taught were not relevant to the new specification and therefore were not information that I needed to know that we spent time on for no reason. Late every week.

I chose Joana because of the reviews on her profile and her experience in teaching both IB higher Chemistry and A Chemistry and l thank God l did. She is patient, passionate to see my daughter understanding the subject. Just one lesson and my daughter cannot wait for the next lesson.
She has boasted my daughter's confidence. I travelled over 1hour and 30 minutes to go to her but it worth every penny. Her experience as a teacher is evident in the way she took her time, asked questions and guided my daughter to write notes.
