Hello, my name is Jessica and I am an experienced primary school teacher and Early Years Lead working in an East Riding School.
I am an approachable, fun and caring person who strives to help children feel confident and happy to learn. I aim to meet the individual needs of every child to ensure that they make academic progress. I ensure that I am always prepared to fulfill the necessary requirements in order to support the child in their chosen subject.
I have an Early Years Education degree which means my approach towards teaching is always interactive, practical and effective. Since 2010 I have worked and volunteered in nursery settings, primary schools and a Summer boarding school (for international students).
In my spare time I enjoy reading, exercising and walking my dog.
I have worked in education since 2010 providing education and care for students aged 3 months to 17 years.
I am currently employed as a full time Foundation Stage Lead & Class Teacher and I have excellent experience working with SEN and EAL students.
I have spent most of my time teaching in KS1 therefore I am particularly familiar with the end of Yr 1 phonics screening test and the end of KS1 SATS.
I have tutored for Maths, Phonics, Writing and English Language for KS1, KS2 and EAL pupils.
One to one support through practical and challenging sessions to ensure the individual needs of the child are met.
Lessons planned in depth adapted from the National Curriculum with the use of practical resources and I.T.
I am happy to offer Literacy, Maths, Phonics and Reading tuition.
