I am currently a Year 2 Primary teacher with experience teaching English and Maths across Key stage 1 and Key stage 2. I am an enthusiastic and creative teacher who seeks to make learning fun and memorable.
After studying Law at the University of Manchester I decided I wanted to work with children and became a Teaching Assistant in a primary school in London. I enjoyed it so much I went on to do my PGCE at St Mary's University, London. I have never looked back and enjoy every moment as a teacher, educating and inspiring children.
I have experience of teaching across Key stage 1 (year 2) and Key stage 2 (years 3 and 4) in both a state school and a private school. I have a sound knowledge and a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum and its expectations. I am up to date with the key objectives in each year group and what is required for the end of year assessments. Additionally, I have taught chidren with S.E.N. within mainstream schools.
The first few sessions would be spent building up a profile of the child's strengths and weaknesses and ways of working. I will then be able to specifically target the help they need to enable them to build confidence in the subject.
I believe children need to be engaged and enjoy their learning and I try to achieve this through interactive games, visual activities and fun, creative resources.
