Personal Description:

Friendly and experienced psychology tutor currently completing final year a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

I am very passionate about psychology and am keen to help others particularly those who wish to get into the same field as I am aware of the challenges of getting into this career.

I know recent changes to the specification at A - level have been particularly hard and I ensure all my tuition focus`s on how to relate information to the exam questions (particularly the longer answers). I am familiar with AQA (A and B) A level and GCSE specifications in addition to OCR.

I teach up to Master`s level in addition to tutoring SPSS.

My particular strength with regard to degree and master`s levels is in research methods and have helped many students in completion of their dissertation.

Tutoring Experience:

I am recently qualified from the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and am now working in clinical settings as well as doing specialist teaching at several universities. Prior to this I was employed in the NHS as an assistant psychologist and within this I worked with many clients who have diagnoses which are mentioned in various specifications. Additionally I run teaching days for qualified psychologist in which I teach various psychological treatments towards disorders. I specialise clinically in working with children, trauma, psychosis and personality disorders.

I teach on an undergraduate psychology course and am able to teach this in a simplified manner as part of a tutoring session.

I teach an A - level psychology class once a week and privately tutor many of the students in the evenings.

I have been tutoring for the past 6 years and students have all obtained A and B grades in exams for A-levels and minimum 2:1 grades at degree level.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very flexible with the approach I take to tutoring and tailor all lessons around the individual. I tend to prepare worksheets (for those who would like it). I encourage the students to ask any questions and work at a pace that works for them.

I am flexible in terms of times and I am happy to tutor evenings and weekends.
