This is how 2 referees rated Jennifer:
I graduated with a 2:1 degree in French University of Nottingham in July 2013. During this time I perfected my fluency of the language by spending a year in France and 6 months studying in Montreal, commanding the use of French in a commercial context. I am passionate about the language and culture of France and would be keen to incorporate this into my lessons.
I have tutored primary aged pupils in both a classroom and one-to-one basis, focusing on individual needs and requirements, primarily with the objective of improving their level to continue on in the class. Further to this, I founded a French Society in school, where the focus was on generating enthusiasm around the wide variety of culture France has to offer.
I am very adaptable in my approach to tutoring, assessing the level and requirements of the student and thus the best approach forward. I am keen to make lessons fun and enjoyable and bring language learning to life so it is seen as a pleasure not a chore. Having recently been a student myself and volunteer tutor, I am imperatively aware of the range of different learning styles and teaching approaches and the impact this can have on student development. I would propose a meeting with the tutee to assess the best approach and their needs and views.
