Graduating from the University of Southampton with both a BA History and Masters in Jewish History and Culture, I continued to further study at the university and write my Ph.D thesis, which I am planning to submit in November 2017. I am privileged to have researched and written a varied thesis, which investigated modern British history, both historically and sociologically.
I have experience in tutoring both English and History in GCSE and A-Level, as well as tutoring on a BA History programme. Throughout my academic career I have been fortunate enough to have been a fellow to a university outreach scheme, which allowed me to teach ages from Yr 5 through to Yr13. I have also taught modules on the University of Southampton's BA History course. This provided me with experience in not only teaching groups, but also on a one-to-one level. Part of the responsibility of being a module tutor at a university is mentoring students through huge learning curves and providing them with knowledge in research and organisation skills. I am also CRB/DBS checked
I am a relaxed, organised and approachable tutor, but expect students to participate and complete work set. I encourage the joy of learning, but with a healthy aspiring attitude to effort.
