Personal Description:

I am a passionate French teacher (I completed my Capes in 2013, equivalent of the PGCE in France) and I am looking forward to share my enthusiasm with you! I am really curious about everything, I like going to cinema, seeing some new exhibitions, discovering new places, hiking and eating (as you know or will learn soon, french culinary tradition is a strong part of our identity!). Last year, I have worked mainly as a translator. My peers and former student describe me as an enthusiastic, dynamic and inspiring teacher for learners of all ages and a professional and organized educator who can deliver what student deserve.

Tutoring Experience:

I have given private lessons since 10 years mainly to french native speaker but also as a foreign language especially during a year in Istanbul for A1 to B2 level and the past 2 years for beginners group and for advanced learners who needed specific skills for their work. It taught me how to create projects, being pedagogic and develop activities to entertain and engage people in creative learning. During two years, I have worked as a French literature and linguistic teacher in France (Normandie and Versailles) for students between 12 and 18 years old.The combination of my experience helped me to develop a comprehensive approach of teaching between being demanding with students and challenging them but also to motivate them to be more interested and involved in Modern Foreign Languages in order to study its cultural component and grammar.

Tutoring Approach:

I am providing a personalized approach so I can adapt to your needs: oral, written, translation or understanding exercise. I use mainly french documents (newspaper, video, novel… ) and always try to make things interesting for both of us (if you like football, I will take an article about the PSG for example!). I have high expectation for my student and I always think that having difficulties in learning a language is often due to a lack of confidence and not some disabilities donc fais toi confiance! Teaching comes with many responsibilities but one of the greatest aspects of being a teacher is the fact that I have the opportunity to be useful for my students, to share my passion with them and see their enjoyment of the subject I love and achieving in theirs aims. Helping them to reach their potential (and sometimes even more!) is what motivates me to continue as a teacher and work with passion.
