I have the character traits, the professional competence and communicative skills of a native speaker of Spanish to deliver quality lessons adapted to the student's needs and demands.
I feel passionate when it comes to teaching and my experience with students says that they find lessons useful and valuable as far as their goals are concerned.
I like to adjust the dynamics and content of every lesson to the specific needs of the learner. At the same time I find it challenging and rewarding to create tailored lessons matching the demands of the student.
I have the academic background in SSL and the communicative skills as a native speaker of Spanish to meet any needs the learner might demand .Starting with zero level, going to casual adult learning, business Spanish ar any required academic stage and examination test.
I like to take every student seriously and that´s why I prefer having one to one lessons. If you add that you can have your lesson at the comfort of your home ,the lessons I deliver seem to be a very good opportunity for yo to have a try .
I have a strong background in the field regarding Teaching of Spanish as a second language since I have taught adults and children for some years.I have taught SSL(both casual and academic) for more than eight years (2.000-2.008) in the Sunny coast in Spain to English foreign residents living there.
I have taught English as a second language and Spanish language and literature all across the Spanish Curriculum. ( 1.995-2.008)
In formal education I have been a tutor, curriculum developer and teacher of children and adults with learning disabilities for more than ten years.
Appointed Head of department and "Sonsoles" special eduation college2.008-2.013).
I have been teaching GCSE AQA Spanish and SSL to UK students and adult casual learners as well in the area of Eastbourne on a self emlpoyed basis since then.
I would just to welcome any queries you have about the lessons and the way we could approach them.
My viewpoint is that it is the student the one who plays the key role in any teaching-learning process.
There were several fields all along my university degree such as phonetics, phonology or grammatical structures where it was established a contrastive study between the English and Spanish languages I think that is a plus and poses an advantage when it comes to teaching Spanish to any English native speaker.
As a general overview you will be covered any aspect of the Spanish language you are interested in as well as any communicational or academic goal in the acquisition and efective use of the Spanish language and culture.
I usually draw on real texts, audios and any specific didactic materials you are interested in and offer help with specific areas such as scientific, law or business Spanish.
Particularly my experience has taught me that the listening skills are important when trying to learn a new language. The very first thing we do when learning our native languages is listening to our parents and people around us.Then I tend to use real conversational Spanish ( usually real radio programmes and from them we go to semantics, phonetics, pragmatics of the use of the pragmatics of the language,grammar... Resulting in a circular comprehensive approach to the language rather than ,for example, a rigid approach sticking to grammatical structures.
I would like just to welcome any question or doubt you have about the lessons and the way we could approach them.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
