I am a motivated educator specialising in English and Maths. I have taught for 14 years in London and Abu Dhabi as a primary school teacher and reading leader. In addition, I have taught classes in Years 1,3,4, 5 and 6 as well as worked across Key Stages 1 and 2 as an interventions teacher. As well as working in a mainstream school, I have worked with autistic children in a specialist setting. I am passionate about children developing their skills & fulfilling their potential.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored children for over 13 years with breaks. As a primary school teacher, I have experience in teaching individuals, groups, and whole classes. In addition, I have taught at my church & have also conducted home Bible studies. I just enjoy teaching!

Tutoring Approach

In the beginning, I spend time getting to know the tutee and his/her style of learning to create appropriate resources and lesson formats.

I assess the tutee first & create work at his/her level before progressing further. I use the National Curriculum and various schemes of work to provide a basis for the sessions.

To ensure that the tutee is learning the material specific to his/her year group, I normally request for the topic overview given by the school.
