I am an English Teacher. I have worked in schools for over 10 years with students at varying stages. I very much enjoy one to one work with students. I have qualifications in working with dyslexic learners and autistic learners. I have a a daughter in S5 who is very driven and focused and a son in S3 who needs extra support in the class room. I feel I understand on a professional and a personal level the challenges and issues in the english classroom.

Tutoring Approach

I believe many problems students are experience are around confidence issues. Not having time in the class room to truly grasp concepts, can leave students constantly lost and not able to reach their potential. During sessions I can diagnose the key areas that are causing problems. I can then work out a set of strategies with that student which will allow them to feel more confident and on top of the work expected of them.
