I am a retired teacher. I retired in 2017. I am committed to providing lively lessons which encourage children to enjoy the world of learning.
I have worked predominantly with younger children. My final post was head of nursery for 4 years teaching English in a private school in Istanbul. Prior to that I was working for 17 years in Stewart’s Melville junior school in Edinburgh.
Tutoring has to be fun not feel it is a punishment. Children spend all day at school and need to look forward to exploring the session in an exciting way. Often it is an opportunity to take them away from a desk environment and venture outside to bring the work alive.
