English (Foreign Language)
Hello, I am a qualified TEFL (CELTA Level A) teacher. I hold a BA and MA in Politics. Teaching English has become a passion of mine and I am especially interested in working with University students who would like to improve their academic English (both spoken and written) as well as conversational classes and Business English.
In general, it is probably just best to get in touch with me and we can talk about your needs.
I started out as a volunteer English teacher for refugees during my Bachelor's before becoming formally qualified as a TEFL teacher in 2015. I have since worked at an international summer school, as a Teaching Assistant in Secondary Schools and on a 1:1 tutoring basis.
My approach is fairly simple. I teach according to your needs. Do you need to pass an exam? Would you like to write better essays? Are you interested in becoming a confident speaker? We organise a schedule around what you need most. I will ask you to fill in a questionnaire before our first session so I can plan a lesson relevant to your goals.
I teach individuals as well as small groups (up to 10). Prices can be negotiated and the first session will always be half price.
My teaching methodology is based on the latest developments in teaching practice. This means I will ask from my students to be as independent as possible, to practice their language, work out rules for themselves and do homework (although we can talk about the amount!). I provide the materials, so there are no extra costs for you.
Please contact me for any questions regarding my approach. I am happy to work out the best solution with you.
