Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching and mentoring people of all ages in private lessons with their guitar, bass and ukulele playing for around 8 years, and a visiting music teacher in over 20 primary and secondary schools for around 6 years.

Tutoring Approach:

I encourage and assist students to find their own way with music, and am eager to provide opportunities for performances to make learning relevant and provide achievable goals.

Students can choose to follow the grading system and gain nationally recognised qualifications, or learn the music that they want to play - or a combination of both. I am an easy-going teacher with a good sense of humour but I have high expectations of my students. I aim to make lessons fun, but also full of quality learning. I am also eager to help students with their practice and can be contacted via email with any questions or problems.
