I'm an experienced & qualified Maths Teacher & Tutor working predominantly online, offering ongoing support and motivation to students who want to give themselves the best opportunity to do well in their GCSEs and AS/A-Levels. As well as longer term relationships, I can also offer short-term, intensive tutoring to increase understanding and performance ahead of exams. Additionally I can support students in years 7-13 who are home educated and looking for regular lessons during the day.
*** Please note that I live in Little Cheverell, so I only travel a few miles from here NOT Devizes for in-person tutoring during the working day (not after school) ***
Tutoring Experience
I qualified as a teacher of maths for 11-18 year-olds in 2001 and have taught in various schools across East Sussex, Hampshire, Oxford, Wiltshire and Berkshire as well as Mexico City. Most recently I've taught A-Level Maths to year 13 in a school near Devizes, part-time Maths & Mindfulness Teacher in a school in Camberley, Mindfulness to adults for Surrey Adult Learning in Guildford and Mindfulness to young people and school staff around the South of the UK.
Tutoring Approach
I'm a friendly and experienced teacher and tutor who likes to develop a good rapport with students so that sessions are engaging and positive. I pick up ability and confidence levels quickly, and can then adapt lessons and teaching style to support the student as needed. I've been very successful over the years in helping students to realise their mathematical potential and raise their grades, but mostly just to feel good about their maths.
