The 2022/23 academic year will be my 4th year as a Primary School Teaching Assistant. I graduated with a 2:1 from the University of Manchester Metropolitan with a Combined BSC (Hons) Degree in Sport with Education Studies. I am CRB/DBS checked. I am happy to travel to you or teach from my home or tutor online.
Tutoring Experience
I became a Primary School Teaching Assistant after finishing university. I have been doing this for 4 years, working in all classes from Reception to Year 6. During my time being a Teaching Assistant I have had experience working with children with special educational needs including Dyslexia. My experience has included Maths and English interventions with small groups, as well as one to one. I have Experience in preparing Children in Year 6 for their SATs. During lockdown I taught 1 to 1 lessons over zoom in Maths and English. So I am experienced in teaching online as well as face to face.
Tutoring Approach
Working in Primary Education, has prepared me very well for tutoring young children. I am extremely patient, have high expectation and take great pride in adapting my teaching to the individual needs of the children I work with.
