I am about to commence my final year in economics at the University of Warwick, having achieved a 2.1 in my second year and two A*'s and one A in my A-levels. My course is heavily maths based, hence allowing me to further develop my maths skills, ensuring I am now more confident with the course material required for students up to GCSE. Although I enjoy working through maths problems, in my spare time, I enjoy playing football at university in a competitive environment. Furthermore, I enjoy going to the gym and socialising with my mates.
Although this will be my first formal tutoring role, during my time at my Sixth Form, I mentored students in lower years at Maths and Physics .
I believe that the most beneficial approach is to adapt my teaching style in order to match and compliment the students learning style, as I believe, this enables the student to get the most out of our time together, hopefully allowing their skills in the subject to increase significantly. Given that I didn't leave the learning environment at a school that long ago myself, I will provide a more informal style of teaching/learning.
