This is how 4 referees rated Jackie:
I am 60, married with 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl: 21,18 and 15. I am a keen amateur painter, pianist and writer, and I'm now into my third year of learning Spanish. I also work face-to-face and over the phone with individuals seeking spiritual direction or counselling. My daughter suffered from anorexia for 5 years, and I am used to working with shy or struggling children and adults. People seem to find me personable, sympathetic and warm. I can relate well to people of all different ages.
3 years as a middle-school class teacher, also specialising in French, 1978-1981.
5 years as an assistant in middle and comprehensive schools, teaching French (up to GCSE), German and Spanish (beginners), 2002-2007. During this time I coached both weaker and very able students.
1 year teaching English as a Foreign Language privately to an adult, 2004
1 year teaching Russian GCSE in Tring Arts School, 2007
A 'Taster' morning in Russian for middle school pupils, 2007
I like to tailor work to the individual, according to their needs, strengths and goals, and I aim to build up a good working relationship from the start. I try to cover all aspects of language learning, and aim to make it as interesting and fun as possible, whilst building and strengthening a firm foundation of grammar. I will use any media that suits the student, including ICT, and take into account what learning method suits them most (eg visual etc).

Seems to enjoy his lesson, we did us another one a few years ago and he found the teacher poor. Suprisingly we do not meet any opposition to him going. if possibel could we have some feedback
