Government and Politics
I`m a 22 year old student, currently studying at Durham University studying Politics and International Relations (MA). I`m young, engaging, and eager to help students, particularly at A-Level which can be especially challenging.
I graduated from the University of Sunderland with a 2:1 in Sociology (BA), and have A Levels in Sociology, Psychology, and Media Studies. I have studied the Sociology of education both at A Level and for my dissertation, this may appeal to students who have an education module.
I hope to offer tutorship in an engaging way which can help students interact with the content in a meaningful way, so they can get the most out their Degree, A Level or GCSE.
I want to offer an experience tailored to you. The first lesson can be free so we can highlight areas that need more work and how we can improve on these areas. If you would like essay feedback or advice prior to the lesson, this may not be offered.
I have been a student of Sociology and Social Science since I began my A Levels in 2010. I have learned a great deal about exam structure and how to write essays which appeal to the examination criteria. I am familiar with most content which would be part of a Sociology course.
Studying Sociology at university has given me a broader understanding of Social Sciences as a whole and would be able to offer extensive tuition for students studying: Research Methods, Education, Families, Sociological Ideologies & Perspectives, Religion, Crime.
I wrote my BA dissertation on the subject of Marketisation in Education so would be able to offer specific help for students in need of extra Tuition on this subject.
I can also offer a broader tuition for Psychology and other Social Sciences upon request. I would especially be able to help in the areas of research methods and methodology.
I offer an adaptable approach to teaching. I will travel to you and we can assess areas we want to focus on and how we want to achieve improvement. This can be in the form of casual discussion about the topic and reading or critical essay assessment, nothing is out of bounds.
