I have recently graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Distinction in Historical Research. My research interests are primarily in Early Modern Europe, particularly on the social and political history of Renaissance Italy.
I have taught revision sessions in my sixth form college, and have always approached student-led seminars in university with great enthusiasm.
I believe that students have within them the knowledge to succeed, but may lack the formal road map to structure this knowledge within the confines of a grading criteria. As such, I encourage students to use the knowledge and information that they find particularly interesting and are enthusiastic about, and help them guide this into a strong and concise argument. Having myself been prone towards a tendency for information overload, I show students how to make the most efficient use of their time in an examination context, as well as how to plan extended writing pieces effectively.
