I am an extremely passionate teacher with a genuine love for my subjects. I currently teach English and drama at an Ofsted Outstanding school in North West London. As a result, I am very knowledgable about the current GCSE curriculum and assessment criteria. The enables me to guide pupils in progressing rapidly, with most pupils I tutor achieving at least 2-3 levels of progress.
I was inspired to pursue a career in teaching having taught English in Malawi, Africa. Here I taught English both 1:1 and to large classes. Following graduation, I successfully gained a training place at an Ofsted Outstanding school in North West London (through the Teach First programme). I currently teach KS3 and KS4 English and drama full time, lead the drama department and mentor trainee teachers.
I believe that building a personal relationship with my students is the key to success. This allows me to understand their personal needs so that I can tailor my approach accordingly. I do not have one approach as every student is different.
In addition, I provide pupils with a personalised timetable, a range of resources and multiple past papers which support them in succeeding in their exams.
