I am a friendly and experienced teacher and tutor. I have a CELTA qualification to teach English as a foreign language as well as a degree in French and Italian from the University of Bath. I love languages and my enthusiasm rubs off on others. I'm patient, creative in the classroom and always put my students first. I have taught in a variety of settings to both adults and children. I am currently only offering an online tutoring service due to the Covid 19 outbreak.

Tutoring Experience

As well as a teaching qualification, I have tutoring and classroom teaching experience. I have been teaching and tutoring since 2009. I usually teach English part-time in a language school (which is currently closed due to the outbreak) and I have worked as an EFL teacher in Brighton summer schools. I previously worked as an EFL teacher for BELL English in Oxfordshire. I have taught English with the British Council in a French primary school and I was a volunteer English teacher in Madagascar, where I taught adults, teenagers and school children. I have tutored privately to adults and children, both in the UK and abroad (in France and Italy). As well as general English lessons, I have taught English for business purposes, interview practice and exam preparation classes (IELTS and Trinity ISE/GESE and Cambridge Advanced English).

Tutoring Approach

I feel learning should be both an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. I thoroughly plan interesting lessons which are suited to an individual's needs. I am happy to follow a course book or create my own lessons, help with exam preparation, grammar or conversation practice and plan a specific program with you. I have experience teaching adults and children and offer small group sessions at an agreed rate. Do not hesitate to contact me!
