I think your treatment of me was disgusting. All was arranged and you had taken me on as a tutee when suddenly, on receiving my work, you decided to change your mind, without any explanation. It is obvious that if I hadn't contacted you again you wouldn't have bothered contacting me. I have paid £20.00 to First Tutors which is now lost. Your "explanation" that I am too advanced is ridiculous… One of your references claims that he was tutored by you through his MA; he must be far more advanced than I am. Do you enjoy wasting people's time?

Ioana was excellent with my daughter, who had little confidence and felt she had been very under-prepared by her school teacher for her AS exam in Classics.
Ioana gave up a lot of her time and very patiently - and expertly - filled in the gaps. With her kindness and support, my daughter went into her exam calmly

I was looking to continue my Latin after graduating from university and get to a level that would allow me to continue my studies at Masters level. Since being taught by Ioana's my Latin has dramatically improved, I feel far more comfortable in my translations, as well as gaining valuable insight into the Roman world through the stories and passages we translate.

Ioana's teaching ability shines through; she manages an extremely positive rate of progression without ever making me feel overcome with work. Alongside all this she has created a welcoming atmosphere and is personally one of the nicest people I have had been taught by. She really can bring the language to life and turn what can at times be a complicated linguistic challenge into far more manageable relatively simple sections.

To reiterate I cannot recommend Ioana enough, she ensures you get the most out of your classes and are able to have fun whilst you study.

Excellent. My daughter had lost complete confidence in her ability to complete her GCSE Latin and wanted to drop it as a subject. After only 3 or 4 weeks with Ioana she is enjoying the subject again and is feeling more and more confident every week.
