As a recent Environmental Science graduate, I enjoy all aspects of science. I have theoretical and practical knowledge, a strong academic record and have gained valuable experience during three internships as a research assistant at top universities. I am committed to sustainability and conservation, and volunteer for several charities including the Woodland Trust.
I have experience working as a tutor for a year 5 primary school student - assisting with science and maths homework.
I have also spent 2 weeks as a mentor at a science summer camp at Sir William Borlase's Grammar School, helping children with science-based activities.
I have been in education for 18 years, and have therefore had a large amount of experience with a broad range of subjects at many levels of difficulty. Whilst at secondary school, I went through a period of struggling to achieve my predicted grades, and therefore benefited massively from tutoring. I have now recently graduated from the University of Nottingham with a First Class degree, and I believe that the tutoring I had during secondary school gave me the vital boost in confidence to achieve this. I would therefore value the opportunity to help someone else with their studies, and improve their confidence in the same way.
