I am a bilingual professional that currently lives in London, but whose origins (and heart) are in Italy, Rome.
After taking a degree in Translation and Interpretation and a specialization course in Translation focusing on Media and Tv productions in Rome, and an 8 years experience as an English teacher in my hometown, Latina, I decided to move to England in order to go after my roots (English mother and grandmother). I am currently teaching and working as a freelance sub-editor for an English-Italian magazine.
I've worked 8 years as a private teacher in the Armstrong and Daughters school in Latina, Italy. I've also taught to groups (up to 5/6 people) of both children and adults, up to the FCE Cambridge level (B1).
As a separate experience, I've taught Italian at the PRIA SCHOOL 1240, Moscow, for 6 months.
I believe in a personalized approach of teaching: every individual needs to learn a new language in a different way depending on his skills and attitudes, some prefer the oral approach and others the written one, and I tend to organize the lesson according to what I understand after the first hour spent together with the tutee. It doesn't take long for me to understand the person I'm teaching to, and I usually get on really well with my students.
