I am a friendly and fun-loving fellow. I have a good sense of humour and love to have a good laugh - the secret of my eternal youthful appearance.
I am an experienced science teacher, comfortable with teaching Key Stages 2, 3 & 4 general science and KS5 Chemistry. With broad and secure subject knowledge and a history of teaching ‘A’ level Chemistry and evidence of over 50% of my ex- students studying in Universities of their first choice, I represent a professional who understands my students’ backgrounds and can differentiate accordingly and raise attainment.
I am offering good teaching involving giving students responsibility for learning with self, peer and teacher accountability. A teaching method that has the learner's name written all over it - when the learner sees that, in effect, his or her name occurs throughout the learning experience - it will make a big difference in his or her level of motivation. I am convinced that every learner- no exception - can be motivated to learn...but, not at the same time, and by the same person, and not in the same way. The timing is crucial because teaching is the assembling of a time bomb... marked for explosion at a later date and at a different location.
