Many years experience, both in tutoring and in (university) teaching, in all three subjects. Semi-retired.
Thirty years teaching in universities, including Oxford and Imperial College, London. Former aerospace engineer and university lecturer with more than thirty papers published and three books. Have been tutoring privately for forty years and home educated two sons from ten to sixteen. Evidence of success available from former students.
Student is proactive throughout, after a (correct) explanation is given, their questions answered and one or two example problems solved. They are strongly encouraged to read (quality) material themselves (provided), to reflect and ask their own questions. Most importantly, we start from the last thing they were happy with and address the most important issues first. The prime aim is to build confidence.
