I am a British female certified Trinity TEFL teacher, with a BA (hons) Degree in Modern Languages from the University of Westminster and a Master's Degree in Photography from the University of the Arts London. I am also a USA Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Instructor. I am highly motivated and dedicated to education, working with people of all age groups, abilities and backgrounds. My hobbies and interests include the arts, photography, languages, travel, writing, books, yoga, scuba diving and dancing. I am also a Visual Artist who has exhibited her work around the world, most recently at the Museum of Animals, Los Angeles, with my writing and photos published in magazines and books including The Art of the Animal, Lantern Press NY. I have been commissioned by Arts Council England and City of Westminster and the NHS. I am also a professional scuba diver.
I have over 10 years experience teaching English as a foreign language in Italy and London. This experience has ranged from teaching kids in their homes, business persons, military soldiers, and in Wall Street Institute language school. My experience also includes teaching Italian to business people and children. I am highly experienced in editing and proofreading academic essays, as well as interpreting / translation from Italian to English.
I have taught photography and film-making extensively to young people in London and abroad. As well as teaching children yoga, meditation and marine conservation. I have also worked for many years in the mental health sector teaching photography to adults at Mind, at Westminster Arts and at Open Age a charity in Kensington & Chelsea. I am also experienced at tutoring children in English and Photography up to A Level standard. My commercial photography experience includes photographing Arsenal football manager Arsene Wenger at Emirates Stadium and food at Gordon Ramsay restaurants; as well as working as a stills photographer on a film set for a children's film in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. I have also made various promotional films for charities around the world helping children and the environment. As well as leading an educational photography project at the Photographer's Gallery London. I have a lot of experience also teaching photography and film-making to children with special educational needs.
I am extremely patient and understanding, and also very motivating to others, especially my students. I always provide my students with extra homework and encourage them to study consistently and push themselves to achieve higher results, whether for school curriculum requirements or personal achievements. I work well with all age groups, abilities and backgrounds, including people with special educational needs. I am DBS checked and First Aid certified.
