Personal Description:

I am a PhD student in the mathematics department at Imperial College London. I am interested in subjects of ordinary/partial differential equations, calculus, linear algebra, numerical analysis, fluid mechanics, probability & statistics, hydrodynamic stability and non-linear dynamics. My work involves solving Navier stokes equations, so I have good experience in working with numerical methods and partial differential equations.

Students studying climate/environmental science can also contact me as I have done my masters in that field. I can help in subjects of atmospheric/oceanic circulation, thermodynamics, climate change etc.

Tutoring Experience:

Mostly I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate students. I used to take tutorial classes for a group of 10+ masters students in the course of advanced fluid dynamics. Before that, I used to give one to one tuitions to engineering undergraduate students in courses - ordinary & partial differential equations, numerical algebra, fluid mechanics, heat transfer.

Tutoring Approach:

Students already spend a lot of time in lectures and my efforts will be to clarify students’ doubts in as little time as possible. My approach will not be limited to only reading the text and explaining concepts. I shall engage the student in a conversation by asking questions while teaching. This will help him/her in developing logic and also ensure that he/she understands the problem completely.

In theoretical subjects, I shall start from the fundamentals and focus on the weakest points of the student. Once the basics are clear, I shall proceed to advanced topics. For help with only numerical problems, I shall first ask the student to start solving a problem. I shall explain the next step wherever the student is confused or not able to proceed.
