I originally trained as an actor several years ago and have sinced
gained a great deal of experience as a professional actor. I have worked
on stage, screen and radio and have been a part of productions that have
been pre written and have also taken part in many production that have
been devised. Thus I have been a part of the creating process. I currently teach at Central school of speech and drama.
I have also worked with many major theatre companies in the north mostly running drama
workshops for people aged from 5-50 years. To list a few: Contact theatre, Lawrence Batley theatre, Royal Exchange, Oldham Coliseum, Bolton Octagon. I have also helped with one to one training to assist people with drama school auditions (many of whom have succeeded). Past students drama school sucess includes Rada, Central school of speech and drama and Arts ed.
Teaching 121 acting is very different than what is taught at most sat drama schools.
For me its very much about working with the individual to bring out the best in them. I also believe in making a performer feel comfortable and nurture confidence through a steady process. For me acting is an art form and its about developing techniques to grow as an artist.
