I live with my husband in Littlestone and have four grown-up children who have all now left home.
My husband and I volunteer regularly at the Canterbury Oast Trust, a local charity for people with a learning disability. We enjoy cycling and living by the sea.
We visit our friends in France and Germany every year.
For twenty years I have been teaching French, German and some basic English to adults and children both at Bromley Adult Education College and from home where I ran a thriving French club for both children and adults (small group tutoring) for fifteen years. I also taught French to a number of businessmen and women as well as 11-14 year olds and GCSE and A level students, all on a one-to-one basis.
I am an encouraging and patient tutor. I love teaching French especially and I aim to pass on my knowledge in an enjoyable and relaxed way so that a tutee can feel at ease and consequently more receptive to learning.
I was one of two students in my year at college who were put forward for a Distinction in my teaching practice.
