I have an extensive range of experience working with young people. In my spare time, I love to cook and I also enjoy camping and the outdoors. I am passionate about reading; I enjoy the classics as well as contemporary literature.
I am an experienced, competent and dedicated Deputy Head of English in a comprehensive secondary school in South London. I teach all abilities and age ranges and have a proven track record of outstanding results.I enjoy mentoring and coaching and have extensive experience of working with trainee teachers and leading on inset training on teaching and learning strategies and initiatives.
I have successful experience of tutoring one-to- one and small groups in a secondary school. I believe in personalising all elements of teaching to suit the needs of individual learners. I can mark and assess work thoroughly in order to give precise and achievable targets to help students make excellent progress. I can differentiate challenging tasks or concepts to suit all abilities and learning styles and enjoy creating innovative resources to engage and enthuse my learners.
