Thank you for reviewing my profile. I have spent the last 25 years conducting business in French and German across Europe as well as providing language and cultural training to private individuals, businesses and government departments. I find languages fascinating and look forward to helping you discover the wonder and enjoyment of speaking in a second, or indeed third, language. Just give it a go and commit yourself.
I teach French and German, face to face and online, to private individuals and business people as well as offering translation services. I ensure that the pace, content and materials used in class and for homework reflect the student's learning style, language capabilities and language aspirations. My teaching approach also draws on my own current experience as an ongoing student of Russian which I have been studying privately with a tutor for the last 6 years. I can fully relate to and understand how a good mixture of grammar, reading, listening, speaking and writing together with interactive, varied vocab can make the lesson time fly whilst making significant progress week on week and having fun along the way.
I want you to enjoy learning a language. Every learner is different and so for this reason I carry out an initial free of charge assessment to understand your expectations, goals, motivations and interests as well as measuring your current capabilities. A bespoke learning programme - face to face or via skype, in blocks of hourly or two-hourly lessons is then designed and full commitment given on both sides to fulfil the programme. Homework, progress reviews, interactive exercises and plenty of speaking by the learner is the main structure.
Languages require commitment, but are also great fun. I will do my best to understand your learning style and shape the lessons accordingly with a disciplined structure and key progress milestones underpinning it. Intensive revision sessions before exams are also available on request. Good luck, Viel Glück, bonne chance, удачи. Hayley
