Specialised English Literature/Language and History teacher and tutor. High (68.3%) Upper Second Class History and English Literature graduate. I am also a graduate from the UCL's IOE Secondary Teaching Programme and I am currently a full-time employed teacher in Cambridgeshire.
The University of College London's Institute of Education is the leading university for education in Britain and Europe. It is renowned for producing high quality and experienced teachers.
I have tutored students between the ages of six to eighteen with great results and praises from parents. The subjects and years that I offer are as follows: English Literature, Language and History for KS2, KS3 , GCSE, A Level and IB. I also deliver tutoring sessions for Entrance Exams both 11 plus and 13 plus, and Common Entrance Exams. With the experience of tutoring over 35 students I can offer specialised support and knowledge for your child - including SEND diagnosis where applicable.
I work by establishing your child's strengths and using their confidence to drive change in both their written and verbal communication. One of the most important aspects to learning and developing is making sure your child knows they are capable, and they are able to achieve top grades with the correct methods and essay writing techniques.
I tailor my sessions to your child by assessing their needs and the demands of their particular exam board. It is understanding how your child will reach those needs in the most effective way during exam conditions. This is an aspect which I use throughout my sessions, and a technique which has been very successful and informative for my previous students as it breaks down the fear of working to timed conditions, and encourages confidence and effective writing skills.
Please feel free to get in touch. I check my enquiries daily and I respond within one day. My available working hours are flexible and I am happy to travel to your property.
