Personal Description:

I am a highly qualified maths teacher currently teaching in high school and sixth form. I have First Class Master's Degree in Pure Mathematics from King's College London, which means that I have strong subject knowledge and teaching skills, and that I have a very good understanding of the exam system, how examiners mark and what they look for.

I teach maths at all levels from primary, GCSE, A-levels and Further Maths to university level. My strong mathematical background and knowledge stands out and is obvious in my teaching.

I use techniques that I have gathered over years of teaching the subject to simplify the language of maths for all students of all levels so that they understand each topic thoroughly and be able to retain their learning for future and exam use.

I am fully familiar with the national curriculum for maths across all key stages. I know the exam system and the mark schemes thoroughly, so I teach variety of ways and methods in approaching a question; in that I teach exam techniques and mark scheme rules. I can guarantee a progress of at least 2 grades up in three months through my tuition methods.

My strong mathematical knowledge and background makes the tuition so interesting that the students always feel my passion in delivering the subject which makes them get interested in knowing more about maths and its use in everyday life.

I relate each topic in maths to an everyday life situation so that the students understand why they study it and where in life they can use it.

I pride myself in inspiring and preparing many students through the process of making a decision, applying and studying maths-related degree courses such as engineering, economics, financial maths and pure maths at Oxbridge universities.

I know the curriculum for GCSE maths in details, and I am fully familiar with the types of the questions on both calculator and non-calculator papers. I explain in my teaching what the examiner looks for and I teach the ways you can gain the full mark in each question on your GCSE maths paper.

I am fully familiar with the style of the questions and have prepared students for the entry exams such as STEP and MAT for the UK top universities.

I am fully familiar with the style of the questions and specialise in preparing children to pass the 7+ and 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance Exams and 13+ Common Academic Scholarship Exams in maths and non-verbal to the UK top public schools such as Westminster School and Saint Paul's School.

I tutor all year round, weekdays after school and weekend. However, it is always best to book your tuition in September so that you do not have to stress out before the exams.

I also offer exam preparation sessions, which are one-day sessions of 5 hours just exam revision and exam techniques. I provide these sessions in school holidays such as Christmas holidays, school half term and Easter school holidays in preparation for mock and public exams.

I also offer online tuition over Skype for which the rates are slightly less.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a qualified maths teacher with First Class Master's Degree in Pure Mathematics from King's College London. I am currently teaching in high school and sixth form. I have taught maths at Key Stages 1, 2 & 3, GCSE, A-Level, Further Maths and University level and prepared students to pass 7+, SATs, 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance Exams and 13+ Common Academic Scholarship Exams in maths and non-verbal reasoning, STEP (Sixth Term Examination Paper), MAT (Mathematics Admission Test) and University exams for the past 11 years.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching techniques are unique and everyone who has had tuition with me has told me the same.

My first priority is to make learning maths easy and enjoyable. To achieve this I always simplify the language of maths (namely algebra, numbers, geometry and statistics) and its rules and formulas for individuals so that they understand it easily and enjoy it like an everyday normal activity.

As I know everything about the curriculum, the topics and the exam questions, I teach each topic in details and step-by-step prepare the students for approaching the exam questions in that topic. Having done this, students have always shown smile on their face and confidence in being able to answer exam questions fully.

It is always said that "the best teacher is the one who is inspiring" and I can testify that I am indeed an inspiring teacher.
