SPECIALIST IN EXAM PREPARATION FOR SATS,11+ and GSCE MATHS
I am a Masters Graduate in Mathematics from University of London (1998) I would like to help children fulfil their full potential in Mathematics having taught 3 boys GCSE Maths ( pro bono) and having a passion for teaching ( I own / am a director an OFSTED Outstanding Montessori School ) . I enjoy connecting with each student on their own level to maximise the time spent . I also focus heavily on exam technique which I feel can get most students at least grade higher on this alone!This element isn't taught comprehensively at schools today in my opinion.

Taught Advance Statistics , Calculus and Financial Mathematics to Investment Bankers and Software Developers for Energy Trading & Risk Management Software

Tutoring Approach

Tailored according to student , I have always found that the more you can relate the topics to the student or context with which the student has familiarity , the more effective the teaching .
This combined with focused , targeted supplementary work reinforces the particular topics until proficiency is reached .
Past Papers also form the basis of an assessment with the end goal being that the student can attempt all questions and order them efficiently as to gain as many marks in the shortest amount of time so that sufficient time is left to check answers .

This in my opinion helps the student achieve the highest mark possible compared to if he /she had not exercised the exam technique methods taught

I aim to increase maths knowledge and streamline exam techniques to achieve higher grades and believe this to be the most effective technique in teaching there is today.
