I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2014, with a high 2.1 degree in Sociology. Thereafter, I volunteered at Reprieve, an international human rights NGO based in Central London, for 6 months. Until December 2014, I worked part-time as a Support Worker for adults with Autism at a residential home in West Sussex; a role I enjoyed for over five years.
In 2016, I completed the Graduate Diploma in Law. Immediately upon graduation, I worked as a Paralegal at a London law firm specialising in human rights for 18 months. I am now in the process of pursuing a role within sustainability and human rights **Contact Detail Removed**.
In the meantime, I am looking to further my experience within the teaching profession in order to consolidate my areas of knowledge and expertise. I am confident that I have the levels of expertise, energy, and personality that are required for providing an intellectually challenging, fun, and successful teaching experience for any of my students. Please see my reviews below for reference.
I have been tutoring students via FirstTutors since December 2014.
I strongly believe in the pursuit of academic excellence, but believe that education cannot conform to a 'one-size fits all' approach. I aim to discover each pupils personal approach to learning, and to then adapt my teaching methods accordingly. I believe that intellectually challenging debate, and conversation, are integral to consolidating reading material. I seek to provide this level of intellectual stimulation in order to develop each individual's learning.
Moreover, I provide:
- Lesson-by-lesson plans.
- Personalised revision notes for my students.
- Exam preparation and model answers.
- Detailed step-by-step programme for Undergraduate Sociology students. I will provide guidance, both organisational and knowledge-based, upon how to write formative and summative essays - from planning to hand-in date.
I am happy to provide either face-to-face tuition, or online tuition via Skype.

I'm very glad to be of help.
I would completely recommend him.
I was initially very nervous with A Level Sociology - but with Harrison, he has broken it down, made it simpler for me so that's such a great quality which he possesses. He'd go more than extra mile for his students - so don't hesitate!
He listens to everything you say - so don't think there's a stupid question - Harrison will try his best to answer it.
He tries all different ways to get you to learn - i.e. online resources, mind maps, colours, etc. - he makes revision a lot easier for any student he has. He usually works either at his house or on Skype, but I must say Skype is a very effective way of having lessons.
