26 years old
Degree and Postgraduate student of The University of Winchester.
Very pet friendly and has a sense of humour.
Creative and welcoming personality with a professional approach.
I am a very patient, fair and calming teacher who has worked with some very challenging behaviour. I am able to use these developed skills in order to help children who may be emotionally vulnerable, struggling at school or struggling with their behaviour.
I am used to working with people from the ages of 3months old- 30+ and so I have developed a very flexible and student centred approach to teaching.
I offer help and support in the following areas:
EYFS: Phonics, Reading, Writing, maths and preparing for school.
KS1/KS2: English, Maths and Study-Skills
A-Level/University: Essay/Dissertation proof reading, Study-Skills.
I have worked extensively within the Early Years sector; in both private and state nurseries.
I have worked within a variety of rural and city based primary schools with ages ranging from Year R-Year 6.
For the past two years I have worked as a private tutor and I have successfully helped 8 students pass above and beyond through their GCSES.
In particular I have worked extensively with additional needs such as Autism, Dyslexia and EAL(english as an additional language), as well as the outside agencies that often become involved such as GP's, NHS Speech and language, CAMHS.
As a degree student I have written my own essays and dissertations, as well as supporting fellow graduates with their own.
I have worked within a **Contact Detail Removed** and so I am aware of specific reading lists and the importance of referencing, which allows me to proof read with absolute accuracy and attention to detail.
My aim as a teacher is to enable a student to master a specific skill through focusing on their individual interests and needs.
I attempt to find out what the student already knows, enjoys and finds difficult. I will then use this information to provide a solid foundation for helping them improve. In addition to this, when tutoring early years I will always ask about the techniques used to teach the student at their nursery or school so as to not confuse the student.
I have a very flexible and welcoming approach to teaching where I believe that parents are at the heart of a child's education and that by listening to a parent's understanding of their child's needs and abilities, I can enrich a student's experience of education and help them to be more sufficient in their independent learning at school, college or university. I am able to provide my services from the comfort my home or over the internet via **Contact Detail Removed** and email.
