I am a medical student at the University of Cambridge originally from Wales. In school, I took 5 A-levels (Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and French) in which I achieved all A*s. In my spare time, I like to play Rugby for the college team and play the piano.
I have a wide range of teaching experience:
> I'm currently Director of an English teaching camp in China for over 200 students.
> I was a Maths tutor during secondary school for several years.
> I've prepared an extensive portfolio of Maths revision materials for an online education company.
I believe that there are multiple paths to reaching an understanding of a common concept. Therefore, it's important to be flexible when explaining an idea and try to understand a tutee's mind frame. An additional challenge for the tutor is to explain these concepts in the most simple way possible.
When it comes to revision I believe that good organisation, repetition, and an element of "thinking outside the box" really pay dividends.
