My name is Haris, and I am a 5th year medical student at Newcastle University. I offer Biology and Economics tutoring starting at GCSE and moving up to A-Level. In addition, I have experience of guiding prospective students in their applications to Medical school. This includes help with personal statement writing to interview technique practise, and many other factors important in application to medical school.
I have been tutoring for several years, with experience of tutoring privately and via other well-known tutoring services. I have helped my students achieve the grades they have aimed for, with many going onto further study at University. Alongside my private tutoring, I have taught and mentored many prospective sixth form students through my work as a student ambassador at Newcastle University. This involves me presenting talks to running open days and workshops for young students.
In addition, I have 2 years experience of voluntary teaching with a local charity. My role involved teaching children from as young as 5 all the way up to GCSE and A-level.
My approach to tutoring is to be flexible and patient. Everyone learns in their own way, and being able to adapt to that and tailor the lesson around the pupil allows the pupil to learn far more efficiently and comfortably.
I use print-outs alongside online and interactive resources to engage my students.
