Personal Description:

I'm an Oxford Maths graduate, now undertaking a PhD in Computational Physics at Cambridge. I have over 7 years' experience tutoring A-level, IB, and university students.

I'm friendly, patient, and able to explain complex concepts clearly and succinctly.

I currently have the following times free:
Mondays 9am-4.30pm, 6.30pm-8pm

Tutoring Experience:

In addition to the tuition I have provided through First Tutors and other platforms, I previously worked as a mentor at my old school, and as a tutor for **Contact Detail Removed**. I spent the summers of 2011 and 2012 teaching Maths in China and Singapore.

Having worked with tutees of varying levels of ability, I've become extremely adept at tailoring our lessons to their particular needs. I've never received a review that wasn't entirely positive and I have a long history of ensuring that my tutees achieve their full potential, with many raising their marks by several grades, and attaining places at top universities including Oxford, Cambridge, UCL and Imperial.

I offer mentoring for university applications, including mock interviews and tuition for entrance tests such as STEP, MAT and PAT. With an intimate knowledge of the collegiate systems of Oxford and Cambridge, I can provide specialist advice for applications to these universities.

Tutoring Approach:

As demonstrated by my academic record (please see below), I know how to play our modern examination systems. However, I'm not content with my tutees just doing well in their exams. While I ensure that they obtain the best grades possible, I also focus on the development of their intellectual intuition and scientific creativity, resulting in profound long-term benefits to their studies.

By only offering tuition in subjects I have studied to at least degree level, I pride myself in offering the level of tuition you could expect from an Oxbridge tutorial.

All of my students are provided with a personalised plan of action, and continual constructive feedback. They are welcome to contact me by email or phone at any time of day, and I endeavour to reply within an hour. Due to the flexible working arrangements in my PhD, I can usually accommodate any lesson times that tutees request. Time changes at least 24 hours before are rarely a problem. I can set and mark homework if necessary.

My tutorials are usually conducted through Skype, using BitPaper to enable my students to see my writing in real-time, and providing them with digital copies of all of our working from each lesson.

For international students: I'm able to receive payments in the currency of your choice, avoiding currency conversion fees.
