Information About Hannah - Leeds tutor
This is how 2 referees rated Hannah:
Currently I am a PhD student at Leeds Beckett University working towards my Doctorate in Philosophy, Clinical and Applied Sciences. I have a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from King's College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science with Human Biology from Leeds Beckett University. Originally from the Lake District, I have travelled and worked across the country, as well as internationally. My most recent venture was to Hungary where I carried out scientific research at a medical university. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and hope to inspire my tutees to enjoy science.
I have a variety of teaching experience in both academia and sports. In 2011 I coached netball at three schools in Sydney, Australia. During my undergraduate and master’s degrees I have assisted teaching sessions within the university, specifically in practical biology sessions which brought about my passion for academic teaching. I have had a couple of tutees in London, who I worked with a number of times per week, towards GCSE biology exams.
I have a very goal orientated approach to my tutoring. Initially I will sit down with both parents and tutee to highlight key areas of work. I will then devise a timetable of sessions, which will be accompanied by a series of tests. I use a mixture of reading, video and practical learning techniques, and as the sessions go on I will use the method which is working the best.
