Information about online lessons:
Lessons will be delivered via the medium of Skype with the aid of file sharing, audio and video. Each student has a specific style, meaning all learning styles and preferences are catered for. I will quickly adjust and adapt to the style which is most convenient and effective for the student.
Every student is invited to participate in a free introductory Skype session with myself. It will act as an opportunity for both student and tutor to meet and break the ice, also assisting with any work the student may have here and there. An informal chat where any further question regarding methods of tutoring may be discussed.
Having tutored in both South West London surrounding areas and Uxbridge/ Hillingdon throughout the past 2 years.
Signed up through an agency Tutor Doctor, but decided to leave as I preferred the standard approach to tutoring without the aid of an agency.
Currently tutoring 1 student.
Shadowed my tutor over the summer to build a solid foundation and gathered relevant experience for my own personal use.
My lesson are structured and focused yet light-hearted and enjoyable. I am still very up to date with the curriculum as well as the most effective techniques to use in order to succeed in coursework and exams. My initial aim is to make lessons as enjoyable and relevant as possible to help get the most out of our time, and I think students will find my age and approach really valuable. I continue to strive to motivate and inspire my students to grow in confident and ambition day by day.
No lesson is generic. Every lesson is written, prepared or adjusted to suit each student as an individual with target request and requirements, strengths and weaknesses in mind. Dependant on preference, most lessons are conducted on a one-to-one basis ensuring every student gets the attention they require to develop skills, improve fluency and work towards achieving their learning goals.
