Hello, my name is Greg. I have been teaching in primary schools for 12 years with experience across both Key Stages I also hold a current DBS enhanced disclosure certificate. I'm a very approachable, friendly and supportive tutor.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced teacher who has now been teaching for 12 years across years 1-6. I currently work as a deputy head teacher and have outstanding knowledge of the curriculum.

I have a great deal of experience working with year 6 pupils, having spent most of my teaching years in this age group, although I have experience across all phase of primary school. I have a broad range of experience ranging from working and preparing for SAT end of year assessments to supporting pupils who find particular areas of the curriculum challenging in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Tutoring Approach

I'm a passionate, hardworking tutor who believes in making learning fun and accessible to all, working in a friendly and supportive manner. Having worked with a range of abilities and learning styles, I make sure that the lessons are suited and unique to each child, tailoring their learning to overcome barriers and build their own confidence within the chosen area.

I like to teach in a relaxed, fun environment whilst setting small goals to challenge the pupils to help build confidence in their learning. In my teaching I like to use stimulating resources to support the children's learning, which will add to the level of progress the children make in each session.

I have extensive knowledge and understanding of the end of year SAT assessments having worked in year 6 for over 7 years in a successful primary school. I have guided pupils through SPAG, reading, writing and maths assessments aiming to achieve the best possible results they can and to strive to work to their full potential.
